Bodies of Water:
As you can see in the map above there are a few different oceans as well as other bodies of water that shape Latin America into what it is. On the West side of South America, Mexico and Central America is the Pacific Ocean. To the East is the Atlantic Ocean. The Caribbean sea surrounds all the islands east of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico is to on the east side of Mexico and the Gulf of Panama, south of panama, blends Central America with South America sharing a northern and western border. South America also has many gulfs; Gulf of Penas, San Jorge, San Matias, Paria, Guayaguil and the Drake Passage. There is also Lake Mrachibo in Venezuela and Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia. There are many more gulfs and bodies of water that are smaller in both Central and South American. Click the link to take a closer look at either.
